CHP 5011 Public Health Ethics 3.0 Credits
This course explores the ethical foundations and real-world dilemmas that shape public health practice, policy, and research in domestic and global contexts. Through philosophical, historical, and political lenses, students engage with literature, case studies, and contemporary debates to analyze how decisions balance individual rights, community well-being, and global responsibilities. Emphasis is placed on applying ethical approaches, recognizing structural inequities, and practicing cultural humility. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to critically evaluate multi-level ethical challenges and apply principled reasoning to complex public health contexts.
