CMGT 2503 Statics and Mechanics for Construction Management 3.0 Credits
This course examines the behavior of forces acting on structural elements used in construction. The course introduces both analytic and graphical methods to analyze resultants, reactions, equilibrium, centroids, and moments of inertia in static structures. Students will also study stress, strain, axial loading, beam bending, and deflection, developing the foundational skills needed to evaluate the strength, stability, and performance of construction systems and materials.
Repeat Status: Not repeatable for credit
Prerequisites: MATH 1201 [Min Grade: C] and PHYS 1101 [Min Grade: C]
