COM 351 Emergent Media and Self 3.0 Credits

This course explores the social and cultural transformations driven by computers and the internet, focusing on how the online self, identities, relationships, and communities are reshaped. Topics include various forms of self-expression online. Students will examine the theoretical foundations of emergent media, analyze mediated communicative practices, and develop analytic skills to assess the suitability of different mediated environments. Through this course, students will gain insights into the evolving landscape of social interactions in the digital age.
