COM 5370 Strategic International Communications and Negotiations 3.0 Credits
The course examines why strategic international communication matters today. It explores how national images are shaped by history, structural forces, and actors such as governments, businesses, and other stakeholders. Students study how nations function as brands and how those brands are intentionally constructed. The course also introduces the theory and practice of international negotiation as a key form of communication. Students learn how diplomats and corporate leaders negotiate agreements and consider the psychological, sociological, and political factors involved.
