COM 5410 Foundations of PR 3.0 Credits
This introductory course is designed for students who are new to public relations. It introduces students to the foundational theory, strategic planning, and tactical skills that form the foundation of public relations practice. Students learn about public relations as a professional field, focusing on the importance of ethical, research-driven communication to interact with various constituents. Using real-world cases, the course covers important strategies such as corporate social responsibility and reputation management, and provides students with basic skills related to public relations research and audience analysis.
