CRTV 6500 Mind, Brain, Learning and Artificial Intelligence 3.0 Credits
This course examines connections between the mind, brain, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and translational research that informs instructional design, teaching, assessment, and workforce training. Students explore core concepts of neuroanatomy, neuroplasticity, neurovariability, and the cognitive processes that underpin learning, memory, and behavior. Students investigate the learning sciences, Mind, Brain, and Education science, and educational neuroscience. The course examines neuromyths, evidence-based practices, and neuroimaging techniques used in educational studies. The course navigates the evolution of AI and connections to neuroscience, human cognition, and learning. Students explore real-world AI applications and develop research-informed materials for educational and workforce contexts.
