CS 1020 Introduction to Computer Programming 3.0 Credits

This course introduces fundamental concepts of computing including memory, instructions, function calls, and objects. Covers fundamentals of structured computer programming in the language of instruction: variables, input and output, expressions, assignment statements, conditionals and branching, iteration, parameter passing, collections, testing, and debugging. Imperative and Object-Oriented design paradigms will be covered. The course introduces programming concepts with a focus on practical applications.
