CS 5130 Cryptography 3.0 Credits

This course covers the underlying algorithms behind symmetric key and public key cryptography. Students learn the underlying mathematics behind the algorithms and the necessary issues involved when implementing these algorithms. A variety of cryptosystems and methods of attack are implemented and analyzed. Recent topics such as quantum-safe cryptography, homomorphic encryption and blind digital signatures, digital cash and bitcoin are introduced.
