CS 6515 Embodied AI 3.0 Credits
This course explores advanced topics at the forefront of current research in artificial intelligence and algorithmic decision-making. Emphasis is placed on representation, reasoning, planning, and action under uncertainty, with a particular focus on embodied AI and robotics. Students examine how intelligent systems perceive, model, and interact with complex, dynamic environments, and will study state-of-the-art methods for probabilistic inference, sequential decision-making, reinforcement learning, and integrated perception-action architectures. Through readings, discussions, presentations, and hands-on projects, students learn how modern AI techniques can be applied to build robust, adaptive machines capable of operating autonomously in real-world settings.
