CTCN 5522 Clinical Practicum and Practicum Supervision II 2.0 Credits
A supervised clinical experience in music therapy and counseling, in which the student continues to function as a student therapist, co-leading and leading group and individual sessions, and a group supervision to support the integration of clinical experience and coursework as related to music therapy and counseling clinical practice and research including small group presentation and discussion. Group supervision will also contain a focus on treatment planning (how to formulate goals and objectives) and session planning (relating music experiences to therapeutic goals), as well as engagement with various forms of documentation. The student is assigned, by Clinical Education Coordinator, to a clinical field experience under the guidance of an on-site music therapist.
