CTCN 5608 Group Dynamics in Counseling and Music Therapy 3.0 Credits
Group counseling offers multiple opportunities and benefits for improved therapeutic outcomes, including but not limited to self-and-other awareness, relationship skills, and sense of belonging. In Group Dynamics in Counseling and Music Therapy, students will examine relevant literature from a range of sources, both seminal and current, to increase understanding and application of group theory, process, and dynamics. Coursework complies with counseling standards as well as music therapy professional and advanced competencies. Students will engage in the group process as group members and as facilitators modeling culturally sensitive therapeutic relationships.
