CTCN 6623 Clinical Internship and Adv Group Supervision II 3.0 Credits
This course is a continuation of advanced supervised clinical experience in art therapy and counseling within a student selected system of care. Students assume increased clinical responsibility and autonomy while receiving individual supervision from onsite or offsite supervisors and participating in small group art therapy supervision led by a credentialed art therapist. Through presentation and discussion of clinical case material, students integrate theory and practice across the lifespan, with emphasis on diagnosis, treatment planning, group and individual dynamics, and transference and countertransference. The course emphasizes professional identity development, ethical decision making, supervision informed practice, and culturally responsive engagement in diverse clinical and community settings.
