CTCN 6651 DMT in Medical and Family Contexts 1.0 Credit
This course examines dance/movement therapy (DMT) in two contexts: (1) medical settings and (2) relational systems (couple and family). Using readings, experiential exercises, lectures, discussions, and video materials, the course integrates relevant theory from health psychology, mind–body perspectives, and couple and family therapy. Framed in systems and biopsychosocial theories, the course prepares students to hold a person-in-context stance across healthcare and relational settings and to translate DMT rationales to both medical and behavioral health teams.
Repeat Status: Not repeatable for credit
Restrictions: Can enroll if major is DMTC.
