CW 5520 Generative Residency 3.0 Credits
This course deepens the intensive study and community engagement established in the Inaugural Residency. Daily programming for the in-person residency includes advanced peer critique, faculty-led workshops, faculty talks, and career development modules. This course emphasizes higher-level techniques in narrative structure, voice, and theme. During the residency, students will articulate manuscript concepts, explore strategies for long-form narrative design, and develop individualized plans for their upcoming packet exchange courses. After the residency, students complete craft assignments and participate in remote synchronous workshops.
