This course examines technologies actively reshaping digital media practice, with content updated each time the course is offered to reflect current developments in the field. Areas of focus may include real-time rendering and game engine applications, artificial intelligence and generative media workflows, spatial computing and extended reality platforms, physical computing and tangible interaction, and immersive audiovisual systems. Students engage with both the technical and critical dimensions of each topic, developing projects or research that apply emerging tools within the context of contemporary digital media practice.
