DSGN 6059 Topics in Service Design 3.0 Credits
This course introduces students to a variety of service design techniques and guides them towards the elements of a service design project. Through hands-on prompted experimentation, selected readings, in-class discussion, instructive editing, and group critique, students will explore service design, design strategy, and design systems. Students will produce several small-scale experiments and create a deliverable based on opportunities discovered during the prototyping phase. To produce this work, students will engage with a subject matter experts, communities of practice, and a wide range of problem definition tools and methods. Professionally juried.
