DSGN 6110 Technology Specialization: Advanced Manufacturing 3.0 Credits
This is a studio course that examines and builds on students’ core skills in design and making. It aims to continue the development of skills in various computational modeling and fabrication techniques and at varying scales as related to advanced manufacturing. The course seeks to specialize skills at scale appropriate to the students' area of specialization. It also includes an interdisciplinary exploration in digital fabrication. Assessments are research through making and experimentation, and can include spatial or product scale outcomes. Electronics and sensors may play a role in this course. Professionally juried with a final exhibit of work.
