DSGN 6920 Qualitative Design Thinking and Research 3.0 Credits
This is a seminar course that examines and builds on the students’ core skills in design research. In it, students will learn the ways that research can drive innovation and iteration in the design process. Focused on qualitative empirical design research, this course will also cover quantitative methods for designers, and research contexts. Students will understand the ethics of research and how to engage with different types of research including engagement with different cultures and communities and a variety of stakeholders.
