DSGN 7059 Topics in Participatory Design Research 3.0 Credits

This is a seminar course that examines and builds on the students’ core skills in design through a participatory experiential community-based project and related topics. Students will understand the ways that community participation and co-design can drive innovation and iteration in the design process. Students will learn to understand the ethics of participatory community work, and how to engage with participants including engagement with varying cultures and communities and a variety of stakeholders.
