DSGN 7998 Design Thesis I 3.0 Credits

This is the first course in a two-course thesis sequence. In this course, students will integrate their thoughts, research, and progress into exploratory research, empirical research, and an evidence-based foundation for the second term of their Master of Science in Design Research (DSRE) thesis capstone project. The DSRE thesis research completed in this term will include elements of speculation related to their chosen evidence-based project and research path. Possible project outcomes and research methods will be examined and implemented. Students will use this class to develop and organize the thesis capstone experience and will produce an outline for their final book. The student will submit to an internal or external research, exhibit, or presentation opportunity.
