EAM 292 Dealmaking in Arts & Entertainment 3.0 Credits

The entertainment, arts and media industries require dealmaking in many situations that are unique to creative work, intellectual property, performance, rights management and distribution. This course presents an overview of dealmaking including negotiation strategies as applied to these disciplines. Key topics are explored and demonstrated in industry-specific case studies, small group brainstorming exercises and role-playing assignments inspired by current arts and entertainment deals. The course emphasizes hands-on mock dealmaking sessions where students apply theory to practice.
