ECE 1210 Programming for Engineers 3.0 Credits

Introduces the fundamentals of programming and algorithmic problem solving with applications in engineering and scientific computing. Topics include control flow, basic data structures, object-oriented programming concepts (objects and polymorphism), and introductory searching and sorting algorithms, all demonstrated using Python. Students develop the ability to write, read, understand, and debug Python code; design and perform tests to evaluate program correctness; and locate, assess, and reuse high-quality modules, libraries, and code repositories. This course is intended for students with prior high school–level experience in computer science or programming in any language.
