ECE 3761 Medical Robotics I 3.0 Credits
This course reviews the emerging multidisciplinary field of Medical Robotics. After several weeks introducing robotics concepts, terminology and background, the course transitions to a seminar format. The course reviews, via students' selected projects, the technological, clinical, ethical and market perspectives of this rapidly evolving area of medical robotics and automation. A large variety of recent, clinically proven, therapeutic, and diagnostic medical automation systems and tools will be introduced, demonstrated, and analyzed.
