ECE 4740 Bioinformatics 3.0 Credits

This course develops the computational and database skills necessary to analyze high-throughput genomic data. Students explore statistical signal processing—including dynamic programming and Hidden Markov Models—applied to genome annotation, sequence alignment, and phylogenetics. Through lectures and assignments, students will master the fundamental math and computation of bioinformatics algorithms that are critical to the field of bioinformatics.
