ECE 5232 Web Security 3.0 Credits

An introduction to security risks, attack strategies, and defenses in the modern web and Internet ecosystem. Topics include web application security, HTTP and HTTPS, cryptographic foundations, digital certificates, DNS security, origin-based isolation, anonymous communication systems, Internet censorship and surveillance, and case studies of real-world attacks. Students examine security challenges at the application, network, and infrastructure levels.
