Overview of physics of P-N junction and Schottky junctions, pin, varactor, and step recovery diodes and their applications, transistors, MESFET and HEMT, BJT and HBT passive microwave circuits: switches, detectors, attenuators, modulators, and phase shifter, active microwave circuits: LNA, power amplifier, distributed amplifier, oscillators (fixed and VCO) power budget and link performance calculations for telecommunication, radar, and EW systems.
