ECEC 413 Introduction to Parallel Computer Architecture 3.0 Credits
Students will develop parallel algorithms for shared-memory parallel computers using pthreads and OpenMP programming interfaces. The course will also teach students how to develop parallel algorithms for the graphics processing unit (GPU) and implement them using the CUDA programming interface. Students will be introduced to the architecture of a modern GPU and to the CUDA programming interface; and will gain proficiency in general purpose programming on the GPU.
Repeat Status: Not repeatable for credit
