ECON 2203 Survey of Economic Policy 3.0 Credits

This course is intended for 2nd Year students majoring or minoring in Economics and students who have recently added Economics as a major or minor or are seriously considering doing so in the near future. Survey of Economic Policy will cover a variety of economics policy-oriented topics throughout the course utilizing the tools of analysis introduced in ECON 1201 and ECON 1202. Examples include the financial crisis in Greece, merger analysis, free trade areas, social security, and unemployment. The course will provide students with an introduction to the topics covered in the advanced classes in economics including industrial organization, public finance, game theory, international trade, and intermediate macroeconomics. As an elective, it provides additional depth for interested students.
