ECON 3326 History of Economic Ideas 3.0 Credits

This course covers the development of economic ideas primarily from the eighteenth century (in the writings of Adam Smith) to the beginning of the twenty-first. The emergences of new and heterodox schools of thought are considered along with their contributions to the understanding of economic society. As a required course, it supports progression in the program. Students will learn to apply key concepts, analyze real-world situations, and communicate evidence-based recommendations.
