ECON 3336 Labor Economics 3.0 Credits
In this course, students will examine labor markets and labor market policies through both theoretical and empirical lenses. Topics include modern empirical methods, labor supply and demand, market equilibrium under alternative structures (such as monopoly union and monopsony), minimum wages, migration and immigration, unemployment theories, unions, discrimination, artificial intelligence and the labor market, and income inequality. Throughout the course, students will participate in data-driven lab sessions to gain hands-on experience analyzing labor market policies.
