ECON 3342 Economic Development 3.0 Credits

This course covers topics including driving forces of economic growth, economic planning, income distribution and poverty, labor migration, capital markets and saving, international debt problems and global economic crisis. The course emphasizes underlying theories and realities of economic growth and development of less developed economies and emerging economies. As an elective, it provides additional depth for interested students. Students will learn to apply key concepts, analyze real-world situations, and communicate evidence-based recommendations.
