ECON 3361 Health Economics 3.0 Credits
This course examines the economic foundations of health and health care systems. Students will explore how health is produced and financed, the structure and impact of insurance markets, and the role of government in health care. Other topics include cost-benefit analysis, provider markets, pharmaceuticals, medical education, malpractice, health inequality, and international comparisons. Designed for students interested in public policy, business, and health care reform.
