ECON 5550 Econometrics 3.0 Credits
This course is an introduction to econometrics, the study and application of statistical methods to the analysis of economic relationships. Students will cover the theory and application of ordinary least squares estimation, statistical inference, model specification and sources of endogeneity bias, panel estimation, instrumental variables, maximum likelihood estimation, limited dependent variables, and treatment evaluation. Students will learn to think critically about causal identification throughout the course with numerous applications involving cross-sectional or longitudinal data.
