ECON 9911 Advanced Microeconomics II 3.0 Credits
This PhD course provides an advanced foundation in modern microeconomic theory, with a focus on strategic interaction, information, and decision-making under uncertainty. Students will examine how incentives, information asymmetries, and behavioral considerations shape outcomes in strategic and market environments. The course integrates themes from game theory, information economics, contract theory, and decision theory, and explores both classical foundations and recent developments in learning, expectations formation, and bounded rationality.
