EDEX 2005 Child and Adolescent Development in Education 3.0 Credits
This course addresses the multifaceted complexities of child and adolescent development from birth through young adulthood. The primary aim of the course is to foster students’ ability to recognize and apply the connections between developmental domains and educational practice, including the use of research-based, real-world, and cross-cultural examples. This course will explore typical and atypical development across physical, cognitive and social-emotional domains from childhood through adulthood. An ecological systems approach will be taken to explain possible reasons for typical and atypical developmental patterns.
