EDEX 3001 Fundamental Practices in Special Education 3.0 Credits
This course provides a look at the fundamental foundation of special education as a system of instructional supports created to meet the diverse developmental and academic needs of students with disabilities. The course highlights the importance of individualized planning, specially designed instruction, and the use of data to guide educational decisions. Candidates examine disability characteristics and consider how cognitive, physical, social‑emotional, and behavioral factors shape student learning.
