EDEX 5010 Individualized Assessment and Intervention: Academic 3.0 Credits
This course explores the assessment of, and intervention with, PK-12 students experiencing academic problems. Emphasizing the assessment-intervention link, the course will examine assessment methods to identify academic concerns, and the match and implementation of individualized evidence-based interventions in advanced tiers of supports. Progress monitoring is discussed to inform implementation of academic interventions. In addition, students will become familiar with documenting interventions in IEPs. Clearances and field experience hours are required in the course.
