EDU 8250 Designing Learning for Complex Urban Classrooms 3.0 Credits
Urban classrooms are shaped by layered histories, diverse ways of knowing, and shifting institutional conditions. This course invites doctoral students to study how learning is designed within these complexities. Drawing on research in teaching, culture, and participation, students examine how educators navigate difference, respond to community contexts, and structure opportunities for engagement. The course emphasizes the development of researchable questions and analytic approaches for investigating classroom design.
