EDU 8400 Leadership for Learning in Urban Contexts 3.0 Credits
This course examines leadership as a central factor in shaping learning opportunities in urban schools, community organizations, and cross-sector educational settings. Students engage with empirical research on leadership practices, organizational learning, improvement efforts, and equity-oriented change in complex environments. Attention is given to how leaders influence instructional quality, professional culture, resource access, and community relationships. Students analyze major studies, assess research outcomes, and develop questions for investigating leadership and learning in urban contexts.
