EDU 8600 Introduction to Education Research Design 3.0 Credits
This course introduces the principles of designing rigorous research in education. Students learn how to move from problems of practice and theoretical interests to clear research questions, appropriate methods, and coherent study designs. The course surveys qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods traditions while examining issues of sampling, validity, ethics, and data collection. Students read published studies with attention to research outcomes and methodological choices.
