EDU 8620 Quantitative Research Methods 3.0 Credits
This course examines quantitative approaches for studying teaching, learning, organizations, and educational systems. Students learn how to design studies using surveys, experiments, quasi-experiments, and secondary datasets, while considering sampling, measurement, reliability, and validity. The course introduces descriptive and inferential statistical techniques used to analyze patterns, relationships, and outcomes. Students critically review published research to assess methodological quality and interpret findings responsibly. Emphasis is placed on producing and communicating research outcomes that can inform policy, practice, and future scholarly inquiry.
