EDU 8660 Narrative Inquiry and Life History Research 3.0 Credits
This course examines narrative inquiry and life history research as approaches for studying identity, experience, and change across time. Students explore methods for interviewing, constructing narratives, and interpreting personal and professional trajectories within social contexts. Attention is given to ethics, representation, memory, and researcher reflexivity. Through analysis of published studies, students assess research outcomes that illuminate how individuals make meaning of education, work, and community life. The course prepares students to design rigorous narrative studies.
