EDU 8830 Technology and Equity in Education 3.0 Credits
This course examines how digital tools, platforms, and infrastructure shape opportunity across schools and communities. Students engage research on access, participation, algorithmic bias, assistive technologies, and digital inclusion. The course considers how race, class, language, geography, and disability intersect with technology use. Emphasis is placed on analyzing research outcomes and evaluating whether innovations reduce or reproduce inequities. Students develop approaches for studying and advancing more just uses of technology in education.
