EEDD 8500 Foundations of Inquiry, Research, and Scholarly Writing 3.0 Credits

This course introduces students to the foundations of scholarly inquiry, research, and academic writing. Students examine a self-selected problem of practice, evaluate research literature for credibility and relevance, and analyze key components of research studies. The course introduces quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches and emphasizes developing researchable questions and connecting theory, research, and practice. Students also develop scholarly writing skills for literature synthesis.
