ENGL 1950 English Studies Seminar 3.0 Credits
This course introduces the practice and study of the English major and is intended for all new majors. It lays the groundwork for what English majors study, the methodological tools for that study, and the theoretical and critical frameworks that underlie that study. It prepares students for success in upper-division courses, providing familiarity with the basic tools of the discipline. It encourages the creativity and critical thinking that are hallmarks of the English major.
