ENTP 3365 Entrepreneurial Ownership and Governance 3.0 Credits

Students learn to leverage ownership design as a strategic tool for launching, scaling, and sustaining ventures. They explore a range of structures, including sole proprietorships, partnerships, LLCs, corporations, franchising, family businesses, employee ownership, and purpose-driven or Through case studies, venture labs, and applied projects based on real or simulated startup scenarios, students examine how governance decisions influence control, financing, decision speed, accountability, succession, and mission. By the end of the course, they can recommend ownership models that align with an entrepreneur’s goals, values, and stage of growth, and apply structure as a strategic tool for attracting capital, scaling effectively, and achieving impact.
