ESCI 3105 Concepts and Practices of Inclusive Physical Activity 3.0 Credits
This course develops students’ knowledge and skills related to the fitness and wellness needs of diverse populations, including individuals with developmental, physical, emotional, or cognitive disabilities. Students will explore how individual experiences, stress, and human connection influence engagement in movement. Through applied learning, students will design inclusive, human-centered fitness and wellness programs that address practical, ethical, legal, and relational aspects of professional practice. Emphasis will be placed on creating environments and interactions that promote safety, autonomy, empowerment, and belonging for all participants.
