ESCI 4405 Electrocardiography Interpretation and Graded Exercise Testing 3.0 Credits

This course examines the principles and application of electrocardiography and graded exercise testing in clinical and exercise science settings. Students learn to acquire and interpret normal and abnormal electrocardiogram rhythms at rest and during exercise. Emphasis is placed on identifying cardiac responses to exercise, recognizing common arrhythmias and ischemic patterns, and applying electrocardiographic data to support safe exercise testing and program design for individuals with cardiovascular disease.
