ESS 1001 Introduction to Earth and Environmental Science 4.0 Credits
This course examines Earth as an interconnected physical, chemical, and biological system. Topics include Earth materials and processes, plate tectonics, climate, water, pollution, natural hazards, and human impacts on natural systems. Emphasis is placed on using the scientific method to study and understand our natural environment. Laboratory activities emphasize basic data analysis, visualization, and interpretation of Earth and environmental processes.
