ESS 2002 Field Methods in Environmental Science 3.0 Credits

This course will introduce you to methodology for collecting samples and data from natural environments. Students will evaluate biotic, abiotic and geological elements of local ecosystems including the stream, marsh, lake and forest. Students will practice keeping a scientific notebook, collecting, managing and analyzing data and essential field safety protocols. The courses will emphasize active, experiential learning and community building.
